<span style="font-family: helvetica\; font-size: 12pt\;">Energy sources including electrical\, mechanical\, hydraulic\, pneumatic\, chemical\, thermal\, or other sources in machines and equipment can be hazardous to workers. Proper lock\, tag\, try procedures must be in place to safeguard employees from serious injury and death. </span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: helvetica\; font-size: 12pt\;">This lesson is for affected employees that do not actually lockout equipment\, but their jobs are affected when equipment is locked out. Training an affected employee is essential because they could cause injury to themselves or to the employee performing lockout if they attempt to bypass the lockout. </span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: helvetica\; font-size: 12pt\;">Δ Annual recertification may be required depending on the worksite regulations.<strong></strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: helvetica\; font-size: 12pt\;"><strong>COURSE OBJECTIVES:</strong></span>
