COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course provides a foundational overview of how electrical power is delivered and managed inside industrial facilities. Learners will explore the key components of an electrical distribution system, including service entrances, transformers, switchgear, panelboards, and overcurrent protection. The course introduces basic concepts such as voltage levels, grounding, load distribution, and system safety requirements, helping participants understand how power flows from the utility source to the equipment on the plant floor. Designed for maintenance technicians, operators, supervisors, and new industrial employees, this course builds essential awareness for safe work practices and informed decision-making around plant electrical systems.
