COURSE DESCRIPTION
Print Reading focuses on understanding standard manufacturing prints used in industrial environments. Participants will learn to recognize key features such as dimensions, tolerances, and part details, and apply basic math skills to interpret these prints accurately. This course emphasizes reading standardized, production-ready prints rather than freehand or conceptual drawings. Ideal for those needing confidence in reading shop-floor documentation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Describe the purpose of print reading in industrial settings
  • Identify common electrical symbols
  • Interpret basic line types and their meanings
  • Recognize standard wire color codes
  • Navigate the layout of a typical industrial print
  • Follow simple circuits using print diagrams

A certified Technician can manage, investigate, repair & troubleshoot systems, with the aim of operational efficiency and cost and process control. This training emphasizes systems management, investigation, repair and troubleshooting. Prior to class, it is recommended that participants complete occupational, mechanical, electrical and PLC hands-on assessments. 

This course is apart of the Mechatronics II Certification program. Interested?

COURSE OBJECTIVES
  • Operate, assemble and interconnect microcontrollers;
  • Make use of microcontrollers in a mechatronic system, to expedite automation systems;
  • Program mechatronic modules and systems.

Industrial Maintenance Associates/ Technicians and is hands-on applied teaching.
