This Engineers Week we hope that you’ll take a moment to recognize and celebrate the work of engineers and engage students in engineering.&nbsp\;<br /><br />The Engineers Week Kick-off Luncheon starts off the celebration of Engineers Week for the Chattanooga Area. It is an event that highlights the contribution of engineering to the betterment of the world and encourages participants to recognize the importance of their work.<br /><br /><strong>2023 Kickoff Luncheon Guest Speaker</strong><br /><br />Matthew Rasmussen - Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations Support at Tennessee Valley Authority<br /><br />Mr. Rasmussen with over 20 years of experience with TVA\, started as maintenance engineer at Browns Ferry Nuclear plant\, became Senior Reactor Operator\, later as superintendent\, director positions\, plant manager of Sequoyah Nuclear plant\, Site VP at Sequoyah\, then Browns Ferry\, before his recent promotion.<br /><br />He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University.<br /><br /><a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2023-chattanooga-e-week-awards-banquet-presented-by-tspe-tickets-506473484827">Details and Registration</a></span>
