COURSE DESCRIPTION

Mechatronics Level I Operator training will provide the essential skills needed to function as a well-rounded machine operator in a complex production system\, responsible for efficient operation of the equipment with minimal downtimes. Mechatronics Operator training is delivered with a focus on system understanding\, troubleshooting and problem solving. Prior to class\, it is recommended that the participants complete an occupational assessment as well as mechanical hands-on assessment. \;

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Understand the operation of the most common input devices: switches\, sensors\, thermocouples and transducers\;
Become familiar with the operation of AC and DC electrical motors\;
Understand what three-phase is and how it is generated\, and what the advantages are\;
Understand the speed control\, starting methods and braking methods for three-phase motors. \;
