COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Team Leader Essential Skills course is a comprehensive program designed to equip participants with essential skills for success in various workplace situations. It covers effective communication, meeting planning and execution, emotional intelligence for leadership, and team productivity. COURSE OBJECTIVES

Lesson 1: Root Cause Analysis

  • Demonstrate use of root cause analyis tools.
Lesson 2: Effective Meetings & Business Communication
  • Understand the impact of words, tone of voice, and body language on effective communication;
  • Increase communication skills to all levels of an organization;
  • Learn steps to planning and executing meetings effectively.
Lesson 3: Communication Skills for the Workplace
  • Understand the basics of listening;
  • Explore active and empathetic listening skills and assess your ability;
  • Learn how to communicate when there is conflict.
Lesson 4: Utilizing Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace
  • Understand how emotional intelligence is linked to leadership success and team productivity;
  • Practice techniques to achieve greater self-awareness, self-control, and self-motivation;
  • Apply your learning to foster more productive work relationships.
Lesson 5: Resolving Conflict with CoWorkers
  • Improve engagement;
  • Counteract unconscious bias;
  • Develop the ability to express ideas that demonstrate behaviours promoting eamwork, critical thought, and communication skills essential for successfully navigating a diverse workforce;
  • Learn how to foster an inclusive workforce climate
