Six Sigma Green Belt

Learn how to collect data, understand data collection methods and analysis and, analyze root cause problems. These courses include a combination of classroom presentation, hands-on exercises and a process improvement project for your organization. This training is designed for technical professionals, engineers, technicians, process improvement practitioners and technical managers, or anyone tasked with process or quality improvement.

After completing these training courses, you will have the skills needed to lead Lean Six Sigma process improvement projects, work on teams led by Lean Six Sigma Black Belts and help your organization implement Lean Six Sigma effectively. Participants will learn the foundation of project chartering to adequately define their project and the tools necessary to measure the baseline of the process and will also be exposed to several methods that can be utilized to sustain the improvements implemented.

Courses Include:

5.3.1 Six Sigma Green Belt: Overview, DMAIC & Project Definition
  • Define the Lean Six Sigma process and introduce the DMAIC roadmap;
  • Provide an overview of process mapping.
5.3.2 Six Sigma Green Belt: Basic Statistics & Graphical Methods
  • Define ways of describing data, center, shape, spread and normality;
  • Demonstrate basic graphical methods to study process variation.
5.3.3 Six Sigma Green Belt: Statistical Process Control
  • Introduce control charts and methods of interpretation;
  • Define process capability indices for short term and long-term capability.
5.3.4 Six Sigma Green Belt: Measurement System Analysis
  • Introduce concept of MSA and evaluation of data;
  • Outline procedure to perform and analyze Gage R&R Studies.
5.3.5 Six Sigma Green Belt: Failure Mode & Effects Analysis
  • Review steps needed to create a Cause & Effect Matrix (C & E);
  • Define the steps required to develop a process FMEA.
5.3.6 Six Sigma Green Belt: Statistical Relationship Methods
  • Utilize hypothesis testing to evaluate comparisons of data;
  • Explain concept of Correlation & Regression.
5.3.7 Six Sigma Green Belt: Design of Experiments
  • Analyze examples of General Linear Model (GLM) and 2k Factorial DOEs;
  • Practice setting up and performing a DOE.
5.3.8 Six Sigma Green Belt: Control Plans
  • Understand importance of Standardized Work and Single Point Lessons;
  • Define steps to create Control Plans.
