COURSE DESCRIPTION Employee Infectious Disease Training provides your employees with need to know information about how to safely work during an outbreak, epidemic or pandemic. Your employees will understand best practices on how to operate making sure everyone stays safe, healthy and confident about your business.
This guidance is intended for all Americans, whether you work in an industrial setting, office or retail store, or want to ensure the cleanliness and safety of your home. Operating during a pandemic requires all of us together to practice cleaning and sanitizing, proper PPE usage, social distancing and other daily habits to reduce our risk of exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Differentiate between seasonal epidemics and worldwide pandemic disease outbreaks;
Understand which job activities may put workers at risk for exposure to sources of infection;
Learn what options may be available for employees working remotely or utilizing an employer’s flexible leave policy when sick;
Understand social distancing strategies, including avoiding close physical contact and large gatherings of people;
Understand good hygiene practices and appropriate disinfection procedures;
Learn what personal protective equipment (PPE) is available, and how to wear, use, clean and store it properly;
Know what medical services may be available to workers;
Be informed of how supervisors will provide updated pandemic-related communications and understand where to direct employee questions.
