A.1 Mechatronics I Certification | Instructor-Led
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Mechatronics Level I Operator training will provide the essential skills needed to function as a well-rounded machine operator in a complex production system, responsible for efficient operation of the equipment with minimal downtimes. Mechatronics Operator training is delivered with a focus on system understanding, troubleshooting and problem solving. Prior to class, it is recommended that the participants complete an occupational assessment as well as mechanical hands-on assessment.  


CERTIFICATE OBJECTIVES
A.1.1 Mechatronics Level I: Introduction to Mechatronics
  • Understand the principles of problem solving and practice using problem solving techniques;
  • Become familiar with problem description and downtime reports;
  • Learn possible and probably cause. 
A.1.2 Mechatronics Level I: Safety and Maintenance
  • Understand the importance of safety in Mechatronics;
  • Learn basic electrical and mechanical safety procedures;
  • Demonstrate practical application of safety and maintenance procedures.
A.1.3 Mechatronics Level I: Mechanical Systems 
  • Understand mechanical principles and identify mechanical components;
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and diagrams;
  • Analyze mechanical systems;
  • Understand mechanical motion and control.
A.1.4 Mechatronics Level I: Basic Electrical Systems
  • Understand the importance of basic electrical systems;
  • Identify and describe the fundamental electrical components;
  • Develop troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving common electrical faults
A.1.5 Mechatronics Level I: Pneumatic Systems 
  • Understand Pneumatic Systems;
  • Understand the principles of pressure, flow, and directional control;
  • Identify common issues and faults. 
A.1.6 Mechatronics Level I: Hydraulic Systems
  • Understand the basic principles of hydraulics systems;
  • Develop skills in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic systems;
  • Apply theoretical concepts to practical hands-on exercises and real-world scenarios. 
A.1.7 Mechatronics Level I: Control Systems 
  • Understand the basic principles of control systems;
  • Gain knowledge of control components, their functions, and integration;
  • Develop skills in troubleshooting and maintaining control systems. 
A.1.8 Mechatronics Level I: Integration and Troubleshooting
  • Understand and practice the principles of problem solving;
  • Become familiar with problem description and downtime reports;
  • Learn possible and probable cause.
