COURSE DESCRIPTION
Hand & Power Tools introduces participants to the safe and effective use of common hand and power tools found in industrial environments. The course covers tool identification, proper handling techniques, routine care, and safety practices to prevent accidents and extend tool life. Emphasis is placed on selecting the right tool for the job and applying it with skill and confidence. This course is ideal for those building foundational maintenance skills or refreshing their knowledge of essential shop tools.

• Identify common hand and power tools used in industrial environments and describe their primary functions
• Demonstrate proper handling techniques that promote accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
• Apply best practices for tool care and maintenance to extend tool life and reliability.

• Recognize common safety hazards associated with hand and power tool use and apply safe work practices to prevent accidents.
