5.4 Design of Experiments | Instructor-Led (7Hrs)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Learn how to use designed experiments to achieve breakthrough improvements in process efficiency and quality. Discover Design of Experiments (DOE) methods that guide you in the optimal selection of inputs for experiments, and in the analysis of results for processes that have measurable inputs and outputs. Realize that process changes made as a result of statistically designed experiments typically result in more efficient processes.

This workshop includes a combination of classroom presentations and hands-on exercises.

Workshop Objectives:
  • Understand exactly what a DOE is and how it can be used most effectively;
  • Learn DOE terminology;
  • Identify important input factors and levels and analyze impact on the output;
  • Learn how to successfully plan a DOE;
  • Review step by step procedures for two types of experiments: General Linear Model (GLM) and 2k Factorial Design;
  • Analyze graphically the main effects and interactions of the experiment;
  • Develop ability to recommend action based on results;
  • Participate in hands-on classroom activity to enhance the classroom presentation.
