COURSE DESCRIPTION
Mechatronics Level I Operator training will provide the essential skills needed to function as a well-rounded machine operator in a complex production system, responsible for efficient operation of the equipment with minimal downtimes. Mechatronics Operator training is delivered with a focus on system understanding, troubleshooting and problem solving. Prior to class, it is recommended that the participants complete an occupational assessment as well as mechanical hands-on assessment.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Understand the operation of the most common input devices: switches, sensors, thermocouples and transducers;
Become familiar with the operation of AC and DC electrical motors;
Understand what three-phase is and how it is generated, and what the advantages are;
Understand the speed control, starting methods and braking methods for three-phase motors.
