5.2 Six Sigma Yellow Belt | Instructor-Led (7Hrs)
COURSE DESCRIPTION

Most employees serve as team members, not as team leaders. This course teaches Six Sigma skills and tools that will enable participants to become fully contributing members and assist leaders of Green Belt and Black Belt projects and focuses on basic process improvement skills, including process mapping and problem-solving tools. Participants will become well versed in foundation elements of six sigma concepts and how to apply it to projects.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
  • Review of the DMAIC Roadmap with focus on the Define and Measure stages;
  • Overview of the SIPOC mapping tool and Current State Value Stream Mapping;
  • Definition and identification of the two different types of variation – common cause and special cause;
  • Understanding of basic problem solving tools to identify root cause: 5 Whys and 6Ms/Fishbone Diagram;
  • Introduction of two of the basic analysis tools, Pareto charts and Histograms. 

DESIGNED FOR
Team members who will support projects such as operators, technicians, team coordinators, and front line leaders.
